The Rev. Kenneth Thomas Sr. stepped through the double doors of the hillside church in Prince George’s County. He wore a black suit. In one hand was a briefcase, and draped over his arm was a garment bag with his pastor’s robe inside. A purple pin with the smiling face of his granddaughter, Ashlei Hinds, was pinned to his shoulder.

Funeral goers dressed in purple and black parted to the left and right of the entryway as he shook hands, then hugged and kissed their cheeks. A soft smile lit his face as they gave his arm a comforting squeeze. The smell of lilies and roses filled the air.

“You know we’re with you,” a woman said. “Need us to hold your bag?” a man asked.

“No, sir,” Thomas said politely. A deacon ushered him down a hallway and out of view.

Thomas, 71, the pastor of Johnson Memorial Baptist Church in Southeast Washington, was also the grandfather of Ashlei, 18, a college student raised in Prince George’s. She had been fatally struck by gunfire inside a D.C. hotel room on New Year’s Day, a stranger to the shooter, police said. Her killing made her D.C’s first homicide victim of 2024 in a city that has pledged to end gun violence but seems unable to do so.

Thomas was now tasked with the unthinkable: delivering the eulogy for the granddaughter he adored. He had to provide comfort to hundreds of people — including his own grieving family.

He had to get the words right.

He couldn’t break down.

People were depending on him.

Two days earlier, Thomas sat at his desk in his study and prayed. He thought hard about what to say: Should his words just be about his granddaughter? How she had a personal relationship with God?

But the words wouldn’t quite match what was in his heart. “That was my struggle,” he said.

Ashlei was Thomas’s biggest fan. She called him “Poppi,”; he called her “The Ash.” When he got his preacher’s license, she made sure everyone knew. She had asked him for a Bible to study with her younger sister. And when she was anxious about taking some tests during her first month or so at Louisiana State University, she called him for encouragement.

“I know you’re going to miss her.”

“I can only imagine having to eulogize your grandbaby.”

“One of the hardest tasks he’s ever had to do.”

Thomas stepped to the pulpit. “Ashlei was a special child.”

He paused. Inhaled.

“I loved Ash more than anyone will ever know,” Thomas continued, his voice cracking. “I was so proud of her.”

At 3:30 that morning, he said, deep in prayer, he felt the words finally come to him.

“At that moment, I heard Ashlei tell me that it was not about her, it was about the other people … it’s about the others who are still walking in darkness,” Thomas said.

Towering over the pulpit, he recited from the Book of James: “What is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”

“Everybody that came in contact with Ashlei left differently,” he said, his voice rising. “Why? Because she was full of love.”

Ashlei was in heaven, he said, and had brought together those gathered on this day. Would anyone be willing to believe in Jesus and love others, just as his granddaughter had?

“Will there be one?” he said with his hands outstretched. Someone walked down the aisle, and then another person, and another. The church rang with applause.

Thomas took a purple towel and wiped the sweat from his brow. “Praise God,” he said.

Then he went back to his seat, let out a “Whew,” and leaned back.

A Pennsylvania man decapitated his 68 year-old federal government employee dad – then held up the victim’s head for a politically-charged YouTube video blasting the Biden administration.

Justin Mohn, 32, beheaded his father Michael at their $390,000 home in Levittown, 10 miles south of Trenton – then displayed the head during a rant blaming the federal government for ‘woke mobs’ and migrants he claims are destroying the United States.

The appalling 14 minute clip – which remained on YouTube for six hours after it was posted, but was taken down by Tuesday evening – sees Mohn hold up his father’s head in a bloodied plastic bag.

He says: ‘This is the head of Mike Mohn, a federal employee of over 20 years and my father. He is now in hell for eternity as a traitor to his country.’

Mohn went on to say he was offering a $1 million bounty to anyone who could kill top officials including FBI Director Christopher Wray, Attorney General Merrick Garland and former Attorney General Bill Barr.

Levitttownnow said Mohn was arrested after 9pm ET on Tuesday, two hours from his home in Fort Indiana Gap, Pennsylvania.

They confirmed the victim had been beheaded and that the YouTube video was part of the same investigation.

Police were first called to the house just after 7pm on Monday and found a headless body in its bathroom.

Mohn is listed as living there with his father; his mother Denice, 63; his brother Zachary, 35, and his sister Stephanie, 38.

The video was posted on Mohn’s YouTube channel, where he had 115 followers. There are now only four videos on the channel, which feature him singing out of tune and playing music, with a photo of his face.

In the beheading clip, he rants about taxes, declaring that the economy is ‘near destruction’ and most Americans can ‘no longer afford the American dream.’

He said there was a ‘globalist and communist’ plot against the United States.

‘At this time, I have a $10 million bounty, but while I secure more funds, I hope Americans continue fighting the traitor federal government out of love for their country – not out of love for bounties.

‘If you are a federal employee and are listening to this message, now is your last chance to resign from the side of the traitors and join your countrymen in taking back your country. Or else this is your fate.’

‘I urge the U.S. postal services to suspend their services at this time, split from the federal government and join your countrymen, or else I cannot offer federal postal workers any protection.

‘The hunting, capturing and killing of America’s federal employees will not stop until Americans’ demands are met.’

Mohn called for all federal employees to resign, and Biden to ‘abdicate’. He demanded the cancelling of federal debt, the abolishing of the federal reserve, and the closing of borders.

He said that a ‘fifth column army of illegal immigrants infiltrates our border,’ and referred to Joe Biden’s administration as ‘the traitorous Biden regime.’

Mohn, in a filing made shortly before Christmas, sought to blame the government for his woes. The filing was the fourth time Mohn attempted to sue, seeking $10 million in damages from the federal government – a case which has no legal grounds.

He said in the filing that he was a 2014 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, with a degree in agribusiness management.

According to his complaint, Mohn ‘began paying his monthly student loan six months later. But then Mr Mohn could not find a full-time job at some unpleaded later time. He obtained only part-time jobs.’

Mohn said he then moved to Colorado, to take a full-time job at a credit union, and later took a job with an insurance company.

But, according to his complaint, he saw ‘his work post-graduate years as ‘malemployment.”

Mohn appears to have wanted to carve out a career as a musician.

His music style is a blend of rock, funk, and hip-hop, using piano and organ as primary instruments along with explicit lyrics, drums, synthesized bass, and other synthesized instruments.’

Mohn also wrote poetry and conspiracy-laden manifestos.

(The Dissenter) Russell Moore, David French, and Curtis Chang are the authors of “The After Party” curriculum which is supposed to equip churches and Christians on how to engage in politics without being “divisive.” Yet, these clowns epitomize everything that is wrong with today’s Church by wholly embracing practically every anti-Christian progressive ideology known to man.


In a recent clip of several of the contributors to this “church” curriculum, they praise one of the most divisive, politically charged social justice pastors in all of Evangelicalism—Charlie Dates. And they hold him up as one of the examples of a Christian leader who represents exactly what they’re fighting for.

The murderous org, which has everything to gain by its insidious rhetoric, goes on to explain that “medically, ‘virginity’ isn’t a real thing” and shouldn’t be tied to the presence or absence of the hymen, which can tear or stretch through a variety of non-sexual activities:

Another reason the idea of virginity is whack, is that sex means different things to different people. Generally speaking society tends to define sex in a very narrow way: penetration – penis into vagina. But where does that definition leave queer people? Or folks who can’t, or don’t, have penis-in-vagina sex, and choose to have oral, anal, or another type of sex instead?
